Daima Trust of Kenya | Awards Gala is postponed. Stay tuned!

In early February, we shared the exciting news that The Angaza Project was nominated to receive a Diversity and Inclusion Award (Category N1) from the Daima Trust of Kenya. Two weeks ago, we received the news that we were a selected organization to receive the award in that category - even more exciting!

The Daima Trust Awards Gala was scheduled for Friday March 27, 2020 at the Tsavo Ballroom in Nairobi. Our Founder was returning to Kenya again this month to meet with the Vice President, Joe Gichuki, and Kenya Board Directors Michelle Akoth, Fay Sejo, and George Okoth to attend the event and celebrate the time! Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide, the Gala was postponed.

The Daima Trust has assured recipients and supporters that they will send out the new date once the travel ban and gathering bans are lifted so all may attend.

The Angaza Project would like to thank the Founder's employer for having allowed the time away to attend for this award and appreciates the extension to the next date it is scheduled. We would also like to thank the Daima Trust of Kenya for quickly communicating information so travel arrangements could be updated with no penalty by the airlines (thank you Delta!).

We do look forward to joining all of the other organizations (CBO's and NGO's) and individuals that were invited to be part of the Daima Trust awards ceremony for 2020 at the next scheduled date. We look forward to celebrating everyone's amazing work that has contributed to Kenya's future leaders.

Thank you!

- The Angaza Project Board of Directors
