Women's Empowerment Launch!

We are excited to launch our (adult) Women's Empowerment workshop today! Fay Sejo of La femme Coaching is our teacher for this program that meets on Saturday mornings in our project location in Kibera, Kenya.

Teacher Fay brings a great deal of experience to our program! For the last several years, she has hosted a women's radio talk show in Nairobi and holds women's empowerment ticketed events from time to time around the city. She has authored a 5 week lesson plan just for The Angaza Project's Women's Empowerment program on various topics such as facing fear, leadership, self worth and more! The women have received a journal notebook and pen for class as well as a supply of pads as part of this program from our supporters. The ladies send their thanks to YOU for providing this class opportunity for them with these supplies!

We opened this program with limited seating for the first workshop and look forward to seeing it grow with the next few cohorts!

More about Fay | Fay is a leader in her church- Cornerstone Christian Church. She serves on The Angaza Project's local board in Kenya and has been visiting our Girls Empowerment with Teacher Michelle from time to time as a guest speaker on special topics. Fay is currently working on publishing these Women's Empowerment lessons and activities she crafted for us into a workbook and adding more lessons. We are just as excited to be the first organization to already be using her soon-to-be published work! This is right in step with our Girls Empowerment lesson plans too where Ms. Kayla Recck (Therapist for the Charleston County School System, South Carolina) has authored a 16 week lesson and activity book for our girls that she is also in the midst of publishing!
